Pay: CA$62,000.00 - CA$75,000.00 per year based on experience
What you will be working on:
· Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance
· Process payroll bi-weekly
· Maintain and reconcile corporate credit cards, employee expense reports, and related general ledger accounts
· Review and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor statements and customer accounts
· Support project accounting, including tracking costs by project and reviewing actual vs. budgeted costs
· Process and review payroll and commission calculations for construction and project-based employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with employment standards
· Assist the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and financial schedules
Essential Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline
· Proficiency in English
· A minimum of 3 years of Accountant experience
· High level of integrity and professionalism
· Excellent organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
· Experience working with an Accounting Software (QuickBooks preferred)
· Strong computer skills, specifically Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel (strong knowledge)
· Able to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment
Additional, 'nice to have' Qualifications:
· Experience working with an ERP system (Acumatica or any other ERP)
