Construction company is looking for HEALTH & SAFETY ADMINISTRATOR located in ETOBICOKE.
Job descriptions:
• Developing occupational health and safety management systems, including policies, procedures and manuals
• Assisting with and participating in COR development including policies, procedures and audits
• Completing requirements within various online H&S Management platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.)
• Organizing and directing monthly JHSC meetings
• Liaising with the Superintendents to develop site specific safety plans whenever necessary
• Attending client specific training whenever necessary and assisting with the preparation of customer specific H&S documents
• Assisting with the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial action
• Attending Safety Group Meetings and Labour-Management Meetings whenever necessary
• Assisting with the maintenance of the company RTW program including WSIB/WCB Claims Management across
Canada
• Records management to ensure all training records and all records are kept relevant, up to date and readily available
• Arranging and organizing training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on health and safety
practices and legislation
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years H&S experience in the construction sector
- Ontario COR (Certificate of Recognition) experience, including training courses associated with COR program development and audits (other provincial COR experience an asset)
- Online H&S Platform experience (Avetta, ISNetworld, etc.)
- WSIB Excellence Program experience
- Working knowledge of SiteDocs
- Incident investigation training.
- WSIB experience an asset
- Proficient attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Public Speaking skills re: safety talks, ASMs, new worker orientations
