Appliance Installer — Contract Position Location: GTA & surrounding areas
Job Type: Independent Contractor / Hourly

We are looking for an appliance installer for new-build condominium and subdivision projects. Consistent work is available for reliable contractors. Training may be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
• Install refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, washers and dryers
• Test appliances after installation
• Take installation and deficiency photos
• Report damages, missing appliances and site issues
• Complete installation-related service calls/deficiencies
• Remove garbage and keep work areas clean • Follow manufacturer and site requirements

Requirements:
• Able to communicate in English
• Installation of appliance, construction or trade experience is an asset
• Registered business/sole property
• Business/HST number or willingness to obtain
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
• Basic hand tools and smartphone
• Able to work independently
• Working at Heights
• Current WHMIS
• 4 Steps to Worker Awareness

Compensation:
• Hourly rate based on experience
• Installation materials provided
• Contractor supplies vehicle, fuel and tools and is responsible for own taxes/business expenses

Gas work requires appropriate licensing. Electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, countertop and structural alterations are excluded unless authorized.
