CNC Lathe Setup & Operator -📍 Halton Hills, Ontario

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup & Operator to join our growing team in Halton Hills. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with strong setup experience in a precision manufacturing environment.

Shift:
Monday to Friday
4:30 PM – 1:00 AM (Afternoon Shift)
Salary:
$22.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC lathe machines with minimal supervision
Perform machining operations including turning, boring, threading, and facing
Conduct first-off and in-process inspections according to drawings and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements and dimensions
Monitor machine performance and ensure quality standards are met
Troubleshoot CNC machine issues and make necessary adjustments
Work with a variety of materials, including exotic metals
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years of machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
At least 3 years of CNC setup and operation experience
Strong knowledge of G-Code programming
Solid understanding of CNC lathe manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling practices, and material properties
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing work environment
