A well-established company specializing in industrial pump systems is looking for a skilled and motivated Pump Technician / Mechanical Worker to join our team.
💰 Salary: $18 – $35/hour (based on experience)
🔩 Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on shop work and/or on-site service including disassembly, inspection, cleaning, reporting, and
reassembly of pumps and related equipment
- Oversee and train mechanics in pump assembly and repair
- Manage workflow by assigning work orders based on priorities and deadlines
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Complete quality documentation (paper or electronic)
- Conduct failure analysis and report findings to Service Supervisor
- Perform daily safety inspections and observations

🛠️ Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with general machining (lathes, mills, drilling machines)
- Background in energy, oil & gas, industrial, or pulp & paper sectors is an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Additional mechanical skills such as machining and welding
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Experience operating conventional lathe and drilling machines
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Forklift certification is an asset (not required)
- Willingness to learn and expand skillset

⚙️ Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently on pump service and maintenance
- Trade school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of pressure, temperature, and operating conditions
- Experience repairing at least 2 of the following pump types:
- End Suction Centrifugal
- ANSI Process Pumps
- Overhung / Between Bearing
- Multistage
- Vertical Turbine
- Positive Displacement / Piston Pumps
- Familiarity with ANSI, API, and ASME standards
