Now Hiring – Sewing Machine Operator (Serger)
📍 Mississauga (Bramalea Rd. & Derry Rd. E.)
💲 $18.50 per hour
🕙 Shift: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our team. Experience with industrial sewing or serger machines is an asset, and training will be provided for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities
* Set up and operate industrial 3-thread serger machines.
* Stitch, overcast, and trim fabric edges in one operation.
* Assemble fabric sections according to provided patterns.
* Thread multiple needles and loopers.
* Adjust machine tension based on different fabric weights.
* Inspect finished products for quality, including skipped stitches, thread breaks, and tension issues.
* Repair minor sewing defects when required.
* Perform routine machine maintenance, including:
* Cleaning lint and fabric trimmings
* Oiling the machine
* Replacing dull blades and broken needles
Requirements
* Safety shoes are required.
* Some sewing or serger machine experience is preferred.
* Willingness to learn and be trained.
* Good attention to detail.
* Reliable and able to work independently.
