We are happy to announce the theme of JetLAG-2022: SERENDIPITY.
The term Serendipity comes from the toponym Serendip (an old name for Sri Lanka), derived from a Sanskrit word, which included a meaning of “island”. In the fairy tale The Three Princes of Serendip, the protagonists are always finding good things without looking for them, accidentally or by insights. The word took root in different languages, with the meaning of a good chance, the occurrence and development of events in a happy or beneficial way.
But Serendipity does not only mean this. It refers to the blessing omen, the predestined good, to that very force that makes good luck happen. It also refers to our own intuition, our connectedness, our capacity to discover what is deep, valuable, real. These gifts have been continuously and repeatedly manifested at JetLAG, which is abundant with beautiful coincidences, inspiring encounters, with so many awesome things to share, to cherish, to thank for, to celebrate with a lot of creativity and joy.
At JetLAG you’ll find what you love and you’ll love what you find. And this is also Serendipity.
