Canadian International Auto Show
An international auto and technology exhibition where annual presentations of new, updated, and concept vehicles from various manufacturers around the world take place, as well as debuts of racing models. On average, the exhibition attracts 300,000 visitors each year.

Canadian Music Week
A music festival featuring Canadian artists. Over the course of ten days, performers take to various stages: from popular bars and large concert halls to clothing boutiques and cafes. Many little-known emerging music groups use the festival to catch the attention of producers, who are plentiful at Canadian Music Week.

Canadian National Exhibition
This event is essentially a grand fair where everyone can find something interesting. Every year, thousands of people line up for rides, come to see the spectacular air show, enjoy live music, and taste delicious treats. Over time, the exhibition of agriculture, first held in 1879, has evolved into a sort of competition among producers, where everyone wants to be remembered and liked by consumers.
This event lasts 18 days and takes place from mid-August to early September.
Caribana
This bright and colorful festival originated in Toronto thanks to immigrants from the Caribbean. Caribana is a carnival that celebrates the merging of Caribbean and Canadian cultures. The festival includes several events, such as a costume contest or a gala concert. The culmination of the celebration is the Parade of Bands.
This festival takes place annually in July – August.
Cavalcade of Lights
An annual event dedicated to the lighting of the city’s main Christmas tree. On this day, festive illumination is turned on the green beauty, and thousands of visitors and residents gather at Nathan Phillips Square to admire the spectacle, skate, see the festive fireworks, and feel the Christmas spirit.
Cavalcade of Lights takes place on the last weekend of November.
Christmas Market
This Christmas market is perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere and for those who enjoy European flair. Here, you can find a Christmas gift at one of the stalls selling cute trinkets, sip mulled wine or hot chocolate, take a photo in front of the giant tree, admire the festive decorations, or simply listen to live music.
The market opens in November and ends on December 31.
ComiCon
An exciting three-day festival dedicated to comics, sci-fi, horror, and anime, attracting thousands of pop culture fans to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Every year, world-famous celebrities attend the event, from whom attendees can ask for autographs and even take photos. ComiCon includes various workshops, artist duels, and a cosplay festival.

Doors Open Toronto
An annual event where about 150 buildings of architectural, historical, cultural, or social significance open their doors to the public. Doors Open Toronto gives people the chance to learn more about Toronto’s history for free and peek behind the doors that are usually closed.

Fringe Festival
An annual theater festival where you can see performances from experimental theater. The Fringe Festival features over 155 shows of various genres: from brand new plays to dance performances and musical comedies. This festival is special because it has no jury; instead, a lottery system gives each artist, both established and emerging, an equal chance at success. Entry prices are intentionally kept affordable to make theater and art accessible to everyone.

Honda Indy Toronto
A world-class motorsport festival held annually on a temporary 2.89 km street circuit with 11 turns around Exhibition Place in the heart of Toronto. Honda Indy Toronto features numerous attractions, food trucks, interactive displays, and events.

Hot Docs Film Festival
The Hot Docs Cinema Festival is the largest documentary film festival in North America, showcasing over 200 films. Screenings take place in various theaters throughout Toronto, and the documentary themes range from calls to protect the planet to exploring issues of social justice.

ImagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival
The ImagineNATIVE festival is the world’s largest festival of Indigenous film and media arts. Throughout the five-day event, films, music videos, and artistic installations created by local artists, directors, and producers from Canada and other North American countries are showcased.
The film festival can be attended in October.
JFL42 Comedy Festival
A comedy festival lasting 10 days. During this time, 42 performers showcase their programs – both world-renowned comedians and emerging stand-ups.

Light Festival
During this light festival, the entire Distillery Historic District is adorned with illumination and light installations. Those wishing to see this colorful spectacle can expect a true visual journey, as the festival transforms this picturesque historic area into a large outdoor gallery.

Luminato
An international arts festival focusing on performance, media, and visual arts. Luminato features artistic programs that go beyond traditional forms of art. The festival introduces Canadian artists, musicians, visual artists, dancers, and actors to the world.

North by Northeast
A music and arts festival lasting 6 days. The event focuses on live music, but there’s also room for e-sports tournaments, comedic sketches, presentations, flea markets, and much more.
Takes place annually in June.
Nuit Blanche
Each autumn, Toronto hosts a contemporary art festival called “White Night.” During this event, night owls can stroll through the city streets, which for one night turn into an open-air gallery featuring unusual installations in the most unexpected places. The artists whose works can be seen range from emerging talents to world-famous figures like Ai Weiwei.
You can enjoy contemporary art completely free in September.
Oktoberfest
This beer festival started in 2012 with the goal of allowing every Canadian to feel the spirit of the famous Munich Oktoberfest. Today, it represents a three-day event dedicated to Bavarian culture, food, drinks, music, and dancing.

Pride Toronto
Every year, Pride Toronto welcomes around 2.5 million representatives of the LGBTQ+ culture alongside their supporters. Since 2016, June has been declared Pride Month, during which various actions, parades, cultural events, and activities take place throughout the city.
Redpath Waterfront Festival
Since 2010, this large festival has been held annually on the waterfront, featuring not only land-based attractions but also water-based fun: a variety of vessels and amusing installations will impress even the most discerning viewer. Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival

Taste of Russia
