We are looking for an experienced DZ Driver / Heavy-Duty Vehicle Technician with strong mechanical and diagnostic skills to join our team in North York.

REQUIREMENTS
• Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician Certificate of Qualification or equivalent
• Valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
• Valid DZ or AZ licence with acceptable driving record
• Minimum 5 years' experience servicing heavy-duty, commercial, or specialty vehicles
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, driveline, steering, suspension, HVAC, fuel, cooling and exhaust systems
• Experience with Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Allison or similar systems
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring schematics and service manuals
• Experience with armoured, military, emergency or specialty vehicles is an asset
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Forklift and overhead crane certification is an asset

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, transfer cases and driveline systems
• Repair air brake, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems
• Troubleshoot ECMs, CAN Bus networks, charging and starting systems
• Install and troubleshoot OEM and aftermarket vehicle equipment
• Perform welding, fabrication, structural repairs and vehicle modifications
• Support specialized vehicle upgrades and equipment installation
• Conduct road tests and final quality inspections
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and OEM service information
• Complete repair documentation and maintenance records
• Follow all safety procedures, OEM specifications and applicable regulations
