Show One Productions, founded in 2004 by the impresario Svetlana Dvoretsky, proudly celebrates its 20th season this year. Dvoretsky, a St. Petersburg native and a graduate of a music school with a degree in Business and Theatre Management, has been a Toronto resident since her arrival in Canada in 1998.
Upon her arrival in Canada, Dvoretsky took on various jobs before using her limited savings to found her company. Initially focused on classical music, Show One Productions has since expanded significantly and is now a leading presenter of theatre, dance, classical and popular music, ballet, opera, and special projects.
In 2020, Dvoretsky introduced a groundbreaking way of experiencing art through multimedia immersive exhibitions,
bringing this concept to North America. Together with a few producers, they opened 28 galleries across North America,
selling over 6 million tickets to the public and gaining massive viral success through all media channels. Within less than three years, Dvoretsky has produced over a dozen immersive experiences.
In the performing arts world, the company has showcased numerous classical music performances featuring world renowned
soloists and orchestras.
Show One Productions takes special pride in its production of the Opera Gala - Trio Magnifico, an unprecedented event at The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts featuring soprano Anna Netrebko, tenor Yusif Eyvazov in their Toronto debuts, with Dmitry Hvorostovsky in his last appearance in Toronto. Prior to the Gala, Dvoretsky produced Dmitri Hvorostovsky's Canadian concerts for 15 years.
The company is particularly proud of its exceptional performing arts presentations, including renowned acts such as Slava Snow Show, Eifman Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet, Michel Legrand, Charles Aznavour, Mikhail Baryshnikov in Baryshnikov - Brodsky" and "Cherry Orchard" (Co-producer), John Malkovich in "Casanova variations", Gesher Theatre, and Rober Lepage/Guillaume Cote's "Hamlet, Prince of Denmark" (Co-producer and Presenter).
Dvoretsky is a recipient of the Government of Canada Order of York for her contribution to the arts and culture.
